CAREER & RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

Full time faculty position at the university or film school level with instructional emphasis in creative writing for stage and screen, media history and criticism – including rhetoric and public culture, media activism (post-colonial studies, processual media theory, Deleuze-Guattari studies, etc.), web studies (rhizomic culture, image hybridity, Internet identity studies), and critical analysis of the motion picture arts. I am also interested in how religion as a social and cultural phenomenon broadens understanding of mass communication and society – in particular, theory about the nature and behavior of both secular and religious audiences, social and cultural impact of religious involvement in public discourse about media.
